What is Active Participation?
In school, that means:
- Take part in discussions
- Ask questions
- Complete assignments ON TIME
Why it’s important:
- Helps you understand
- Gives you confidence in sharing your thoughts
- Helps you feel positive about yourself
How it helps your future
- Builds communication/talking with others both in and out of school
- It shows you how to be part of a team not only in sports but by working together with others both in school and out of school.
Think of ACTIVE PARTICIPATION as the walls to your house. Without walls, would you have a house? Walls are a necessary part of a house!
Active Participation is what you build in school to show that you are part of the school’s student body and class. It gives the structure to start adding other parts to your house, and YOU!
Active participation means Active Learning. That’s the fun stuff! Asking questions, being involved in discussions, and taking on cool projects are great things you can do. It’s like making the outside walls of your house in your unique style.
